Australia's eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant (a former US legislative assistant) has proposed new safety standards that necessarily compromise end-to-end encryption. Digital services are forced to break encryption and snoop on your content, in order to comply. How will the back doors remain accessible only to the "good guys"? Our safety codes should not sabotage the technological backbone of our society.
