Breadnbrew,

Agreed, my wife and I got a Brother laser printer about 3 years ago and I still haven’t had to change the toner. It’s been telling me the toner is low for months but still keeps going strong. Granted we don’t print a TON, but we print enough that the initial cost of a laser printer made sense.

Breadnbrew,

Thanks!

Breadnbrew,

Thanks! Are you using dried tomatoes that come in olive oil? If so you may need to get some of the moisture out either by patting dry or letting them sit in flour first. When I use jalapeños in my bread I let them sit in flour for a few minutes before incorporating into the dough so they don’t make mushy spots.

When you use them on top, are you tenting your bread with foil at a certain point while it’s in the oven? That should help keep the top from burning.

Dry Herb Vape Reviews

Like many others I’m coming to Lemmy from Reddit, and I noticed there isn’t a well-established dry herb vape community present (yet). While I still enjoy sharing a joint when the opportunity arises, I prefer dry herb vapes for efficiency, taste, and reduced smell. For some of you that frequented/frequent the vaporents sub,...

Breadnbrew,

Nice, that looks interesting. I’m not as up to date as I used to be but it reminds me of the Dreamwood Glow. I know little to nothing about box mods but they seem pretty versatile.

Breadnbrew,

Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Breadnbrew,

My pleasure! If you have any questions later on please feel free to ask.

Breadnbrew,

Probably best to stay away from those. There are honestly more reputable vapes for roughly the same cost, and while they may have gotten better with time, I remember reading stories about the plastic melting, vapor being too hot, and having not so great battery life. Granted I haven’t paid much attention to the community or vape news over the last couple of years, so take that with a grain of salt. What about those interests you? Are you looking for a session vape or on-demand vape? And is being able to charge it a must?

The Fury edge is not much more expensive than their cheapest model and has a good reputation if you’re looking for something that doesn’t need a butane torch. DaVinci also has some models around $100. I’m not so up to date on Dynavap and supposedly they’ve gone a bit downhill, but I still love mine and it gets used multiple times per week. It does use a butane torch (or induction heater), but the learning curve is really not that steep at all. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few around that price range, but there are better options with better build quality, taste, and battery life.

Breadnbrew,

Unfortunately I haven’t tried the three that you’re looking into, but if you can afford the Mighty I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. It’s highly regarded for good reason; the battery life is great (and has passthrough charging), the bowl is plenty big enough for sharing, and the build quality is solid. I didn’t think that I’d ever get one, but was very happy once I did. I’m not sure why I was so against the Mighty for so long, but I’m happy to have one.

Breadnbrew,

Definitely, and those are good points. Replaceable batteries are super nice too.

Breadnbrew,

Great points. Big sales are 4/20, Christmas, and Black Friday, but you can find some good deals year-round if you’re patient. At one point there was a user on Vaporents that would share a spreadsheet with all of the known sales, MSRP, and sales price of a bunch of vapes. FuckCombustion might have similar discussions on sales.

Breadnbrew,

I haven’t tried any other Firewoods, but if my FW5 is ever beyond repair I’ll definitely be getting another model. I love the ceramic tray on the 5.

Breadnbrew,

That sounds pretty cool, and the warranty is crazy on those. They seem like they’re really high quality too. I also use the dosing pods on my Mighty 99% of the time for the exact same reasons.

Breadnbrew,

Yeah, it certainly adds up. Before I got my first vape I had spent months researching since I was still in the military, and only intended on getting the one. I never expected to enjoy collecting multiple vapes, but like most hobbies the cost can get pretty high depending on preferences and wants (because I definitely don’t NEED more than one). As long as you get what you want out of your current device, that’s all that matters!

Breadnbrew,

Nice! Lots of options out there depending on what you’re looking for.

Breadnbrew,

Throughout the work week I played at least one solo game each of:

  • Hadrian’s Wall
  • Rove
  • Sprawlopolis
  • Solar Storm
  • Palm Island

My wife was finally ready to learn Spirit Island this past weekend and we played three games total. Somewhere during the second game on Saturday it started clicking for her and she started really enjoying it, and on Sunday she suggested that we play it again.

We usually play Carcassone, Azul, Sagrada, or Patchwork (which I love), but I’m happy that she enjoyed Spirit Island as much as she did and that we have a good coop game to play.

Breadnbrew,

Hopefully she’s willing to try it again, but if not that’s okay too. I could tell my wife was not that excited about it by the end of the first game, but we tend to play a new game at least twice back to back to help cement the rules which she was willing to do. Once she started making her own moves and suggesting what we could focus on next she started getting into it, and I was stoked when she wanted to play again the next day.

Breadnbrew,

I baked some focaccia on Saturday with rosemary from our little garden (I like making it really thick though). I also baked a loaf this morning after it had been in the fridge overnight, and have the baking steel preheating right now for some sourdough pizza in a bit.

Breadnbrew,

It’s super easy, and makes some amazing sandwiches when it’s baked thick (I usually use a 9×9 pyrex dish). I’m not sure if it’s technically focaccia since it’s way thicker than a flatbread, but it’s delicious nonetheless!

Breadnbrew,

I’ll be baking some later today so I’ll be sure to take a pic and post it!

Breadnbrew,

Yep, I have a FW5 and I absolutely love it. It’s a great vape for golf and going to family events where I can step outside for a minute.
