BrisaLuna,

Oooops. TEAPOT AUTO-JOIN IS ALSO AFFECTED. Kaveh can enter your teapot and delete items there.

Sound scare-monegery, but better safe than sorry

BrisaLuna, (edited )

There were reports of deleting the statue of seven. Anything interactable. So just imagine if it deleted your Teapot burdie.

On the bright side, it’s just in Genshin China servers and MHY was like banning those they caught for 10 years.

Just coop with people you know and trust for now. Better err on the side of caution.

Edit: oopsie. MHY already posted stuff. Problem resolved LOL. No primos, sorry

BrisaLuna, (edited )

The most common accepted theory is the hacker changes the ID of the interactables into that of the bloom cores, to which Kaveh can auto detonate with his skill. Then those get saved server side that is why the deletion persists.

That’s the current theory. The Nahida so-called exploit is a made up one. So far Kaveh is the sole holder of the destroyer of the worlds title.

Enjoy the game. I mean, you can still coop with Kaveh enjoyers. This is an actual hack, not a bug. The player doing the deletion are deliberately tinkering stuff on their end to make things go poof maliciously.

Edit: oopsie. MHY already posted stuff. Problem resolved LOL. No primos, sorry

BrisaLuna,

0.1°C per decade is not fast enough an adaptation. If rate of world heating increase is faster than the corals can adapt, it’s all the same frogs in boiling water story.

BrisaLuna,

I am not sure how removing the littler bins will help. Sure there are disciplined people trying to abide by laws and such, but the more a place gets popular, the more it attracts trash? It’s an odd choice to remove the means for people to dispose of their litter properly.

Perhaps there’a another angle to this?

BrisaLuna,

Oooh. Should we just spread them out everywhere so they won’t congregate in the place? (I don’t know if I’m joking or not anymore)

If that is the point of view, then it should be OK, I guess? I mean, hiking is not that as popular a trash-magnet activity compared to crowd attractions like parks. Right?

BrisaLuna,

Now that is a point I can understand. Because where I came from, people just litter left and right even with the bins around. Such a pain.

BrisaLuna,

Some people just went to Fediverse to migrate out of reddit. Might not be aware or still new in the realm of privacy protection.

BrisaLuna,

I don’t know how futile this battle is, as it’s undeniable that content are still made on platforms hosted my those megacorps. For now I start with privacy friendly frontends. Libreddit for the reddit stuff and piped for youtube.

What are some equivalent communities to reddit's popular communities on Lemmy?

Was just banned from Reddit because I dared to use Tor (which I am using rn) and comment something. Since my account was new the mod banned me, I have 1k other reddit accounts, so not knowing I was banned, I posted in the same community with other accounts, thus three accounts are permanently banned....

BrisaLuna,

Thank you! Saw this website thanks to you.

BrisaLuna,

Huh. I guess the camel mouth pictures I saw before have all their teeth extracted or something? Second pic absolutely looked like that of a large cat pic to the untrained eye (mine)

BrisaLuna,

Thanks for the link, those teeth got out faster than expected. I was kinda expecting the alpaca to go murder mode with how the removal was done.

BrisaLuna,

Now you put it that way, thank you lemmy world. I probably wouldn’t migrate out of R itself if I didn’t see your site and made it look familiar. Transition had been easy for me and now, I barely go back there unless via libreddit.

BrisaLuna,

Yep, even now. I had a really hard time (mentally) doing the transfer before, until I stumbled upon old LW. Still on this format, tbh, it’s just more compact for me. I’m thinking that other lazier / lurkier users might get encouraged to make the jump if the place is familiar to what they will leave behind. Of course, there is still a learning curve, but since everything looked a little bit like the old R, it was intuitive enough for me.

I’m forced to shift to the usual formatting when I have to switch to sh.itjust.works because of the downtime, but when i go back to lemmy.world, it’s always on the old format mode.

And I am a bit talkative here, as I read that lurking doesn’t really help the fediverse. Wish I can contribute in a more intellectual content-making kind of way, but as I don’t have expertise (only interest), my only contribution is to add activity.

BrisaLuna,

ECHR is not just for immigrants, right? I mean, if you leave ECHR, isn’t it a blanket policy which will also affect those in the UK itself? Can’t get my head around this.

BrisaLuna,

I hope Neu’s kit is relevant since he’s story relevant as well. My 50/50 is waiting!

BrisaLuna,

Time to load geo MC, ZL, Kazuha and Venti. I hope they let us plant those geo balls at the side of the cliff!

The Reddit Protest Is Finally Over. Reddit Won. (gizmodo.com)

The last major holdouts in the protest against Reddit’s API pricing relented, abandoning the so-called “John Oliver rules” which only allowed posts featuring the TV host. The article describes it as "the official end of the battle," which seems an overstatement to me, but it's the certainly the end of the initial phase....

BrisaLuna,

The thing that made me use reddit less and less is old format version of lemmy.world. I tried looking for separate instance when world is getting DDoS’d, but the very familiar format made me always go back to it.

Using memmmy is brilliant though. It’s probably just wishful thinking, but I hope that other sites have the old reddit format version for ease of transition. Until then, I’m here in old.lemmy.world
