I'm using the ConbeeII stick on a RPi3 and recently a few of my zigbee devices has just dropped out of the zigbee network. Only battery powered devices from what I can tell. I can delete them and add them again, and then they work for some time, maybe hours, maybe days, but they all just stop reporting any status updates....
For too long imo, piracy had become a "grab it all" environment. The old "Caring is Sharing" mantra seems to have disappeared. So maybe, this Lemmy could revert back 20-30 years to become a real sharing community. IDK.
I discovered yesterday evening that Lemmy.ml is blocking all inbound ActivityPub requests from /kbin instances. Specifically, a 403 'access denied' is returned when the user agent contains "kbinBot" anywhere in the string. This has been causing a cascade of failures with federation for many server owners, flooding the message...

“In metric, one milliliter of water occupies one cubic centimeter, weighs one gram, and requires one calorie of energy to heat up by one degree centigrade—which is 1 percent of the difference between its freezing point and its boiling point. An amount of hydrogen weighing the same amount has exactly one mole of atoms in it. Whereas in the American system, the answer to ‘How much energy does it take to boil a room-temperature gallon of water?’ is ‘Go fuck yourself,’ because you can’t directly relate any of those quantities.” ― Josh Bazell, Wild Thing
As per this post, it seems Lemmy World is having federation issues. I've had some of my posts and comments get suspiciously low response, so I've looked into it and it turns out that many of them aren't showing on other instances....
I don't think it takes hours to build a usable network. Obviously it's better for everyone to keep your router running, but for me it only takes a few minutes from startup to a usable I2P.
I'm using I2P from a laptop and it works well, but it also doesn't go to sleep when plugged in.
How cool wouldn't it be to have IPFS working in I2P? Someone thought of it in 2016 already, but it seems that it's not a priority according to a comment in 2021....
I very much enjoy to travel. When I visit I want to be part of the country, culture, life, not put up in a hotel complex that could have been put anywhere in the world because they all look the same. What's the point of visiting a country if all you ever see is the pool and the bar?

Could this become a "Caring is Sharing" sub, just like the old days
