I always loved this game, the graphics are so colourful and cute and the music is catchy as. I live in New Zealand and while we don’t have quite so many mazes full of nasty enemies IRL it is fun to see how a Japanese tourist in the '80s saw this place. The difficulty is vicious, but I discovered this gem in the Taito Legends...
Wow, I have just discovered Taito did a remake of sorts on the DS called NewZealand Story Revolution. upgraded graphics, music, game mechanics, no more insta death. I just started it but seems like a lot of work went into making something even more playable while keeping the spirit (and level design) of the original. the spot the difference touch screen segments can be… frustrating though. Super catchy music is playing in my head all day now.
PSP version of Ys ark of Napishtim. Have so many systems/games to play I tend to jump between games a lot but this one stuck with me, I loved it. Don’t know how many hours I spent in Canaan, but I had a great time getting to the end. Starting Ys seven now
It’s fantastic, runs most psp games at 3x resolution. Also runs many ps2 and GameCube games playable, if not well. Dreamcast runs great, the screen is bright and colours are vibrant. I do want a steam deck to go with this for things that need a bit more power but this is pocketable and will be on me when I go out.
All the controls are great, nice clicky dpad and the sticks feel good with good range of motion and L3/R3 clicks work well. Saturn works well in the paid yaba sanshiro 2 emulator with some graphics glitches (Saturn emu is hard…) and I am playing baku baku and panzer dragoon. Haven’t tried arcade games but I imagine they would be good… I am able to run some ps2 games at 2x resolution 30fps - 3d games like FFX… this thing has guts. I’m able to carry all the retro games I ever wanted in my pocket.
Cool - I can indeed click through to the link however my login does not follow. Am I supposed to be able to use the same account over there? Or am I supposed to make a new user, that seems a step too far...
oh, I obviously played an inferior version - the thing is I still loved it. Didn't notice it running choppy but may have just dismissed it as emulation glitching. Fast travel would have been nice, but the "world" is not so big that you can't run from one side to the other in 5 minutes...
I hit the trail a couple months ago with this car. It's a total beast and fun to drive. I wish Holmes Hobbies would quit hinting at new brushed motors for it and release one already!
