DebatableRaccoon,

Roll up, ladies and gentlemen. Place your bets on how long this sacrificial pig team will last

DebatableRaccoon,

That’s exactly what I’d think if it was an Xbox exclusive

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

That’s likely the same for many others and exactly why they’ve now cut out the cancer

DebatableRaccoon,

Found the anti-HDD drama queen

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Not everything has to be so literal… as evidenced by your claims of “ages”.

DebatableRaccoon,

That post was sarcasm, my guy

DebatableRaccoon,

I mean, having less DRM shoved down our throats is never a bad thing.

DebatableRaccoon,

These fucks just can’t stop spoiling everything for people

DebatableRaccoon,

Guess they’ll have to take it up with the overlords

ASUS Scammed Us (www.youtube.com)

This undercover warranty investigation is a one-year follow-up from our series that investigated ASUS for motherboards incinerating AMD CPUs, at the end of which ASUS promised a number of improvements to its then-anti-consumer warranty processes. Spoiler alert: They’re still anti-consumer. We sent our ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme...

DebatableRaccoon,

That was indeed the announcement; PSN required for multiplayer but not singleplayer.

DebatableRaccoon,

That’s still a lot of people, I’m afraid

DebatableRaccoon,

The better solution is to not force a third-party tie-in that doesn’t really do anything

DebatableRaccoon,

Can’t say I’ve heard anything about that

DebatableRaccoon,

So it’s almost like the smart business decision would be to make some multiplatform games, huh

DebatableRaccoon,

I bet they’re currently shitting bricks

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

And even more I see no reason to pay for their products. If they’re going to be getting ad revenue then I’m sure as shit not giving you any more upfront. Bunch o’ double-dipping twatmuffins

On the Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call this morning, CEO David Zaslav [....] "disappointing release of Suicide Squad," (nitter.privacydev.net)

On the Warner Bros. Discovery earnings call this morning, CEO David Zaslav said that their quarter’s financials took a hit due to the “disappointing release of Suicide Squad,” the newest game from Rocksteady Studios

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

The game most people screamed to the heavens about not wanting for over a year prior to release didn’t sell well? I’m thoroughly shocked.

DebatableRaccoon,

CEO says “I want to make more money”. Crowd responded “No shit”.

I’ve seen a theory that Steam is holding, possibly even for a time when Sony puts it in writing that players won’t need a PSN account permanently before they’re willing to relist the game which I think is a fair desire at this point.

DebatableRaccoon,

Especially now they’re forcing people to have FB accounts to use the hardware. I don’t care how much cheaper they are, that alone means I’ll never buy from Oculus.

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

It’d be news to me if they did but it’s still an account under the FB umbrella and I trust Zuckbot as far as I could throw him, which isn’t far no matter what alloy he’s made out of.

DebatableRaccoon,

Sorry for your loss, my friend. I heard WMRs were pretty decent equipment.

DebatableRaccoon,

In this day and age, I really think that should be illegal and Microsoft should face legal fallout. Just the nerve to claim to be a “green” company while actively making decisions to brick working hardware is bull.

Can somebody explain why game makers don't start their own companies together?

It seems like every other week a game studio is massively laying off employees; sometimes after years of development. What I’m reading is that it’s a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors’ pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...

DebatableRaccoon, (edited )

Short answer: money. It’s no secret devs are usually overworked and underpaid so even a large-ish group of developers from even some of the more popular companies getting murdered simply can’t afford to start a business. Some of them could go the Kickstarter route but few would be successful as is the way for Kickstarter.
