I’ve seen a theory that Steam is holding, possibly even for a time when Sony puts it in writing that players won’t need a PSN account permanently before they’re willing to relist the game which I think is a fair desire at this point.
Especially now they’re forcing people to have FB accounts to use the hardware. I don’t care how much cheaper they are, that alone means I’ll never buy from Oculus.
It’d be news to me if they did but it’s still an account under the FB umbrella and I trust Zuckbot as far as I could throw him, which isn’t far no matter what alloy he’s made out of.
In this day and age, I really think that should be illegal and Microsoft should face legal fallout. Just the nerve to claim to be a “green” company while actively making decisions to brick working hardware is bull.

What I’m reading is that it’s a quick way to lower expenses and pad the investors’ pockets, flooding the market with developers and reducing their value, to then hire them back a few months later at lower...
Short answer: money. It’s no secret devs are usually overworked and underpaid so even a large-ish group of developers from even some of the more popular companies getting murdered simply can’t afford to start a business. Some of them could go the Kickstarter route but few would be successful as is the way for Kickstarter.
