In many ways, it’s exactly like Pleasantville. The world is changing and the reactionaries don’t like it, so they try to use the force of law to make things back the way they perceived them to be, including by restricting the use of color.
As part of DeSantis’ “Freedom Summer” initiative, the state’s transportation secretary announced that bridges can only be illuminated in red, white and blue this summer.
Because nothing says freedom like restricting the colors people can use.
For such an easy target, Ticketmaster has operated with impunity for decades at this point. I agree it probably isn’t the most pressing problem right now, but I am glad something is finally being done.
All well and good, but I would rather not suffer through another four years (or more, the way he talks) of Trump just to teach Biden a lesson. Seems a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
