Sometimes I wonder if people who pull stuff like that (I’ve had similar experiences) are feds or if they just don’t realize that the shitposting stays in the designated shitposting areas of the internet and can’t be allowed to leak out to IRL.

THERE IS NO WAY THE AVERAGE CITIZEN CAN PUSH A POLITICIAN IN ANY DIRECTION IF THAT POLITICIAN KNOWS THOSE PEOPLE ARE GUARANTEED TO VOTE FOR THEM NOMATTER WHAT.

THE ONLY WAY IS TO COMMUNICATE DEMANDS EN BLOC, THREATEN TO WITHHOLD VOTES IF IGNORED, AND FOLLOW THROUGH ON IT.

I want to not believe this. But my experience has been witnessing PMC, and tech workers especially, acting as defacto wreckers more than once.

The finally turned around on protecting Nazis but

a) not after doing a lot of damage by fighting for a platform for hate.
b) they didn’t really learn anything they just realized how it was affecting their donations
