@MaggieCi You know how some authors can write parts of their books as if in a fever dream? At least that's how it can feel to me.
That's pretty much how she wrote the last third of the book. I could not put it down.

Current novel takes place back when women were institutionalized for so called "hysteria". It's the second novel I've ever read from this time and they both made my skin crawl.

Saw an article on NYT today about how children need to be bored sometimes. Which made me think of my Pops, who used to say that being bored gave you more perspective about being engaged.

Went out to the backyard and up to the garden bench to sit and enjoy the afternoon moment, when a hummingbird hovers up from a flowering shrub, zooms in closer to check out my colors and then zips away. Made my entire day. 🪶🌼
