I still use reddit for purposes ranging from getting solutions to pastimes. Same for discord. There are a few communities on it that I need to be connected, most notably dev related....
I gave up discord a week or two ago but when I used it, I only used the online version on Firefox in a container. I think Ublock Origin blocks most of the science API things too! Example: discord.com/api/v9/science
Hello, I’ve been using manjaro xfce for a few months now and I’m starting to wonder if I would enjoy any other distros more, I’m not really a technical person but I really do enjoy linux so i’m willing to learn new things....
Hello I’m thinking about buying two Yubi Keys for my keepPassXc database but I just want to be sure they’re worth it before I buy them since two would cost a fair chunk of money ($100), can anyone recommend them?...
I use, Ublock Orgin(King), NoScript, Firefox containers, ViolentMonkey, Skip Redirect(I dont really like this but the ArkenFox guy recommends it), return youtube dislikes and Sponsor block.
I think Disconnect and Decentraleyes do the same thing right? While its slightly worse there is a ublock orgin filter list you can use instead of clearUrls (raw.githubusercontent.com/…/LegitimateURLShortene…)
I set up Ad Guard Home on a raspberry pi and im thinking about setting up a private searxng instance but Im not too sure how to set it up properly without using my main ip
I've seen a lot of people who quite dislike Manjaro, and I'm not really sure why. I'm myself am not a Manjaro user, but I did use it for quite a while and enjoyed my experienced, as it felt almost ready out of the box. I'm not here to judge, just wanted to hear the opinion of the community on the matter. Thanks!
I enjoy Manjaro and I would even say its the reason I switched to linux (I didn't like the other distros) but I've had updates that brick my operating system however this isnt so much of a problem for me now since i back up my data and use timeshift now.
I think most of the Manjaro hate comes from people comparing it to arch linux
For a while now I've been quite happy running LibreWolf, with Bitwarden and some other privacy extensions. I've also switched over from Google to Kagi as a search engine; doesn't keep me anonymous, but I do love not being the product for once.
1.Ublock Origin, ublock is really cool and you can even add filter lists to it for example i found one for filtering ip grabbers (https://github.com/piperun/iploggerfilter) 2. Containers 3. NoScript (Its like ublock origin but for java script) 4. Skip Redirect the arkenfox guy recommended it. 5. VoilentMonkey (I use it for scripts like youtube age verification bypass and undiscord) 6. Return youtube dislikes 7. Sponsor Block
How did you guys use reddit and discord?
I still use reddit for purposes ranging from getting solutions to pastimes. Same for discord. There are a few communities on it that I need to be connected, most notably dev related....
How many Adblocking/Privacy extensions are too much?
So as the title mentions, I’m wondering how much is too much?...

How good are Yubi Keys?

What do you all use for password management?
I'm using KeePass currently, since I don't really want to use anything publicly hosted. But I was curious to see what other people have been using!
What browser / extensions do you make use of?
