Of the pictures I took today, this is my favorite. It clearly shows sunspots 3628 (in the center) and 3633 (towards the upper left) and of course the shadow of the moon partially covering the sun.
Let's have another eclipse one of these days...

Until today I did not know that there is a mastodon client for Android that supports mathJax (i.e. latex rendering). I had been resigned to reading math on the desktop and using the app basically for skimming clear text only.
If you are like me, then go to the Android play store and download "mathstodon" (yes, really). Looks and feels like the generic tusky except that suddenly you can read equations!
(Now I just need to find the time to spend online...)
@christianp This is of course always true with anything from the play store -- in this case the source is on github (https://github.com/bonnjalal/Mathstodon) which gives it at least a veneer of credibility to my brain...
