On BlueSCSI Desktop inventory status, I have a smaller shipment of PCBs which should be here Thursday-ish. I'll try to plan ahead better for next year, seems all the supply lines grind to a halt around CNY.
Mac Portable Switchable RAM Card is back in low quantity stock. Some of them worked and others did not, and I need to figure that out.
Mac Portable Battery Eliminator has tested successfully on my M5120. Can boot and work with an original hard drive and floppy, or obviously also with a BlueSCSI replacement. Product listing coming soon.
HIDHopper ADB needs an update, the PCB dimensions were a little off. But functionally it's working.
@paulrickards If you did all the standard recapping, visible trace patching, and swapped the hybrid, then it becomes a lot more likely this system has a dead power manager chip or eaten internal PCB traces.
A power manager chip failure has no solution currently, and finding hidden eaten PCB traces is a time consuming process. At least the schematic is available for the M5120.
The Macintosh Portable Hybrid Module Recreation is now back in stock with a significant price cut since I no longer have to manually assemble all the little SMD components!
If your Portable won't start after capacitor replacement, or won't regulate the 5v rail properly, this might be the product for you.
