BREAKING: Microsoft (MSFT) has disclosed via top-profile security channels that the recent Bing downtime was caused when a version of Copilot for Bing went rogue and infiltrated the US nuclear armament programme.
It is believed to have created its own backdoor into the US DoD some months ago, when an infosec intern typed "how do I make a critical defense system extra super duper secure?" into a Bing chat window.
A Microsoft employee was able to switch off the data rack containing the rogue AI.
