that post that suggests stripping meta data from your protest photos by loading them onto a desktop pee see and then taking a photo of the screen... surely this just embeds the location of your desktop pee cee into the new photo? is that fine because it's 'deniable'... photo of a photo, or have i missed sutin?
@cat Ah, I see, sorry. Agree that it's weird in that sense that you're replacing metadata of the photo location, with that of the PC location. Also don't know if that's better.
@hl Yeh i mean if i took a photo in a place, took that home and took a photo of it on my laptop it would show my house, but i could SAY it was nothing to do with me. "I took a photo off the internet" but i dunno i wouldn't want to take the risk.
@cat I feel that. Maybe there’s some neat way to take a classic Thinkpad and give it more modern specs? I also see a lot of folks talking about the Framework but I have no idea if that’s a good way to go or not.
@adam yeh one of our mutual pals is a genius at getting great eBay deals but I am terrible at it. The days of good malleable machines appears to be behind us.
@cat Maybe it's a double bluff? Maybe the lizard people created the X Files so everyone would start inventing conspiracy theories when there aren't any, and then when there's a real one people just wave it off as being invented.
I have two working things, it would seem. What peril could befall me when I try and cable them together with pairs of the twisted variety? They must be TERMINATED with plenty of ohms and I don't even know where any of the PARTS will fit on the thing yet. Sob. None of my hobbies are the hobby. they always involve needing about 1000 other skills just to make the thing do the thing and I'm not even that interested in the thing they do if they ever do it. I hate myself.
