@dpp Big Cloud doesn't want you to compare the cost of a bare metal server with a terabyte of RAM in it vs. a 1 TB cloud instance over time, and they definitely don't want you to check https://yourdatafitsinram.net/ . They risk losing out on all that revenue you are supposed to spend on a dozen different kind of technologies we are supposed to use that could all be replaced with "haha Dell server with entire dataset in RAM go brrr"
