Да, это тот самый, который пробирался ко мне на второй этаж.
Я его и прогонял с участка, и вещами в его сторону (не в него!) бросал, а ему хоть бы что. Ходит и ходит. Сегодня ночью даже как-то снова в дом просочился. Дрых за печкой.

@maxk В целом, если в колодец человеку кинуть свинцовую блямбу, то там в принципе все равно, что на ней будет написано, человеку и так будет постепенно становиться хуже.

Big Fedi vs Small Fedi doesn't even have to be a debate, IMO. The federated model can happily accommodate both use cases.

Your instance or local constellation can be as "small" and quaint and well-kept as you want, or as "big" and serious and even commercial as you can afford.

It's absurdly adaptable, just as the Internet itself. Which is, you know, the point.

@evan Somewhat disagree. We're not E-mail, we're a minority, still, and the Fediverse doesn't have enough mass as yet to attract Everyone. We do attract a specific sort of people who shares the specific set of values the Fediverse is built upon, and it would be nice if that described every person on the planet - but it doesn't. Unfortunately.

So, you can't say that we represent the public opinion - in the broad sense. We represent the opinion of our audience, which doesn't span the whole public. There's debate over whether or not we have to (you know it as Big Fedi and small fedi), and IMO we have almost everything we need to pull it off (except for big pile of money for every admin :), but this is not the case currently.

Нейроотличные люди, которые вышли из тени и создают мемы, статьи и прочее — тупо лучшие. Потому что благодаря ним и более нормисные челы типа меня осознали, что с ними тоже не всё в порядке, и это даже вариант нормы.
Одно дело жить с чувством отчуждения от общества ввиду уже имеющихся базовых характеристик, иметь сложности в общении и не понимать как жить дальше, а совсем другое — принять это насколько возможно.

@molehog Visibility and representation matters. Это справедливо в принципе для всех отличных. Так побеждается маргинализация. Важный мессадж о том, что между отличными и не-отличными, в сущности не так-то много отличий, и не такие уж они ломающие, если иметь их в виду и считать вариантом нормы, а не делить всех на людей и не-людей.

Не все, однако, с этим согласны, к сожалению.

One issue I have with fighting systems in almost all RPGs (most games, actually) is that every fight must be until either you or your adversary kicks the bucket.

You stole a piece of meat at a bazaar and got caught? No, you don't just get beaten up and thrown in jail or out of town, you will be straight executed on sight.

Conversely, you mishappened upon a gang of less than friendly ruffians? No, they won't beg or surrender or run away when it becomes clear that it's them who mishappened upon you, they will fight to the bitter end, as if under the order from the supreme god of everything to either murderize your ass, or die trying.

It's not plausible. Vast majority of fights are not like that. Most of the confrontations involving force end with either running or talking. Not a lot of people want to get murdered or be a murderer, especially over things that don't matter much.

As I said, ideally, enemies could drop and lose some loot while fleeing, and you should be able to give a chase, but it's on you whether you want to bother and live with possible consequences moving forward or not.

Most of the loot dropped in random encounters is just crap anyway, especially later in the game, as expected of raiders and highwaymen. Unless you're walking around in the vicinity of some high-tech faction, of course.

Shootouts are actually kinda expensive for everyone, yeah, especially in the nuclear wasteland, where everyone is short on stuff in general, and you are one mishap away from dying to untreated wounds or to thermal shock, or to dehydration or starving to death. So it's in your best interest not to get into one, at least if you don't know what you're doing. Basic Sun Tzu stuff.

для меня метро - это символ Москвы. когда долго на нём не езжу, теряю ощущение, что живу в столице. я очень люблю его ​:pc_love:​

Попробовал поиграть в первый Fallout. (на средней сложности)

Попытка раз. Вышел из убежища, обыскал труп, взял патроны, кое-как пробежал между крысами. Сожрали радскорпионы.

Попытка два. Вышел из убежища, обыскал труп, взял патроны, решил перестрелять всех крыс. Сожрали крысы.

Пожалуй, я слишком казуален для этого.
