What. And I cannot emphasise this enough. The heck?

Obligatory photo of me modelling the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex headphones.

@Edent I got as far as three before I got bored, and now all the paper (still stuck on the kitchen wall) has either curled or fallen down and been shredded by the boys! 😂

I decided to haul the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max indoors to use some of the solar energy I'd gathered during the day to power the WAVE 2 air conditioner. I was still logging power usage and battery data so I accidentally got the best graph of power usage yet. It shows roughly what a full drain on the 1kWh WAVE 2 battery would look like.

A zoomed-out view of the previous graph that shows the AC usage from around 19:30 to 00:00. There's also a roughly 50w continuous drain on the battery after the AC is shut down. Power drains from roughly 94% to around 50%.

Finished (well, I'm trying very hard to stop adding to it) my absolute monster of a review for the EcoFlow WAVE 2 portable TWIN HOSE air-conditioner. Covers everything from price justification, weight, operational cost, if you should get the add-on battery and lots more waffle! - https://www.gadgetoid.com/2023/07/17/ecoflow-wave-2-portable-air-conditioner-review/

@jann and- thank you for taking the time to read it at all. No tracking means I have no clue how long people actually stick around 😂

I don’t know how I feel about a captive A/C cable on a travel product. There’s a huge battery connector and a solar connector but you can’t remove the power cable when using it on battery. U.K. regulations? Water ingress issue? There must be a good reason.

@ahnlak not sure that's a primary concern on a £1k AC with an £800 battery...

The EcoFlow WAVE 2s add-on battery might actually be a great little on-the-go charger when you don’t need heating or cooling. It works even when detached from the WAVE 2 - though charging it needs a WAVE 2 or DELTA 2 - and carries just over 1KW/h which you can tap into via a 100W USB Type-C or 18W USB A port. Weighs about 7.5Kg though 😬

A MacBook Pro with a flat battery springing into life once connected to the WAVE 2 add-on battery. The battery is so big the MacBook comfortable sits on top.

@jann you can see from the wear how much we love it 🤣 doesn’t get a moment of rest.

Putting the whole EcoFlow Wave 2 AC unit outside and piping in just the cool air keeps all the heat and noise outside, but you can only do it during dry weather. Maybe I could build it a little house 🤣

Who needs dual hose when the hot air outlet is already outdoors!

Juicing up the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max. It’s a 2048Wh monster! My office currently runs from a 20A car charging circuit, disabling the charger, I’m hoping to switch to solar but first I’m testing this hulk! Maybe I can load shift?

The LCD shows a charge level of 32% and an input of 2262 Watts. It’s estimated to finish charging in 55 minutes. The close up reveals two normal (12W) and two “fast” (100W) USB A ports. The USB type C are 100W each.
