There's a web app I quite like called HyperPipe, which can be installed as a PWA on Android, iOS, Windows and Linux. It's similar to Beatbump, but this actually works!

And metric vs imperial (with the exceptions of about three small countries in Africa and Asia, the UK (which uses both systems interchangeably), and NASA).

I think I know what I'll be using as my next wallpaper on KDE...

On what platform? Laptop? Phone? Raspberry Pi hooked up to a TV?

Wait, I think I've misunderstood what you meant by "media". If you essentially want a self-sorting photo gallery, I'm afraid I have nothing to offer. Sorry.

Good luck, though. I've seen some good suggestions from other users.

I think I should probably start another r/2meirl4meirl equivalent.

Oh, holy shit! My old community! I though lemmy.ml had deleted that!

Thanks!

That actually sounds like a good config. I'm hesitant to pay for apps on iOS at the moment, as I'm planning to move to CalyxOS, but I might give these a try.

What FOSS browsers, do you use on a daily basis on both your mobile and computer for privacy and security, and what measures have you taken to further harden your browser (if any).

Me, I have a low threat model so I mainly try to stay away from proprietary stuff when possible (Chrome, Edge ect) I use an eclectic mix of browsers....

I use LibreWolf on my laptops, Lynx on my old laptop, and Brave on my iPhone.

It also runs on iOS, using iSH.

On other operating systems which I don't currently use, here are my picks:

  • Android -> Mull or Privacy Browser (from F-Droid)
  • Mobile Linux -> Angelfish
  • SailfishOS -> Sailfish Browser
  • MorphOS -> Wayfarer
  • Haiku -> WebPositive
  • BSD -> Konqueror

Assuming I'm using Android:

  • Mull or Fennec
  • SkyTube
  • Tusky
  • Jerboa
  • UntrackMe
  • Orbot
  • SicMu Player (or any good music player app)

That's the sort of thing, but PhotoSync is proprietary. Still, it's the first suggestion that actually fits my needs and doesn't require any self-hosted software, so thanks!

I currently use Joplin, which I sync using Backblaze B2 (which is S3-compatible).
