"Taking a break from democracy" is a funny-ass way to say "embracing fascism".
And i owe it to myself to read past the headline (and I will) but Peter Thiel's leaned authoritarian at least since his days at Stanford, and I'd wager that his "frustrations" with democracy in this moment are less about its inherent flaws and more about his inability to buy, outright, politicians who will do his bidding.
