Just venting about the v1.25.1 release getting stuck in Google Play’s review hell. Normally Google reviews updates for apps within 1-2 hours however every so often a release might get held up. It’s not a transparent process so I can only guess what is happening is that the release was selected to be manually reviewed or...
This update features a rewrite of the comment quick actions bar. Comment quick actions are the actions shown below a comment when a comment is expanded (ie. tapped). With this coming release, comment quick actions will become fully customizable. Allowing users to choose which actions they want to see and which actions they want...
I’m currently using gnome and I’d like to switch to plasma, but I can’t seem to find a decent wayland-compatible virtual keyboard. What would you guys recommend?
My question: Is it possible to stream the gif and videos linked in a post without opening the post at all? Same like the preview of images is visible on homepage without opening the post.
In the first screenshot, one can see linked image without opening post while video/gif’s are not visible unless
I found the post you linked however it plays without opening the link.
Yes, it plays without opening the link. But, for it[Video/Gif] to play one need to open the post. Hence, my question above.
Apart from that app is super smooth and optimized. Really appreciate all your hard work. Cheers.
Just a lot of polish and a few fulfilled feature requests. This update was supposed to be quick and improve the look and feel of the app as well as knock out some user requests but some of the changes took a lot more effort than budgeted....
I’m continuing the settings/configurability work and adding even more settings. This update will be focused on adding app navigation related settings....
This update adds Lemmy v0.19 (the latest version of Lemmy) support to the app. It also adds a number of user settings. There were more settings planned for this release but with the announcement of v0.19, I decided it was safer to cut the release now and add support for v0.19 as the latest lemmy update breaks a lot of stuff with...
Wayland. It comes up a lot: “Bug X fixed in the Plasma Wayland session.” “The Plasma Wayland session has now gained support for feature Y.” And it’s in the news quite a bit lately with the announcement that Fedora KDE is proposing to drop the Plasma X11 session for version 40 and only ship the Plasma Wayland session....
If Nate thinks that wayland only on Plasma 6 is the way to go then I feel like we as a user should trust him.
Currently I use AMD hardware and for me KDE + Wayland is fantastic experience. Some crashes here and there, with which I’m fine with.
My brother is running Fedora Kinoite + Wayland with Nvidia and he is total noob when it comes to Linux. He is happy and never complained about his system.
So, I would only assume for normal use case wayland is already in good shape currently. It is only going to get better with plasma 6.
How often do you contribute to open source projects?
