"Solarized" themes come to Konsole.

Thanks to the work from a new contributor, Konsole has gained two new color themes: Solarized and Solarized Light.

Updated PSB/PTB packages will soon be available on the mirrors.

Become a contributor, even small things matter! Check out the Developer section on our Wiki (https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Category:Developers) and the main TDE code repository on TGW (https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/TDE_Gitea_Workspace)

Bug fix for KMail: attachments containing an hash (#) in their name could not be properly opened. Thanks to the work of a contributor, this has been addressed and those files can now be displayed without problems.

Updated PSB/PTB packages will be available on the mirrors in a few days, when the building window for the next release opens.

Enhancement for Keyboard Layout Tool (kxkb).

If available in the system and enabled at build time, kxkb will now use translations provided by xkeyboard-config for xkb messages. This should provide a more consistent user experience since translations and original xkb messages are coming from the same source.

Updated PSB/PTB packages should soon be available on the mirrors.

Celebrating one year of on @Mastodon!

In summer 2022 there was a discussion among users and devs on whether should be present on social media. The result is this channel and today marks one year from the very first post (https://floss.social/@tde/109542679767663733).
The channel has become a vehicle to bring updated news to anyone who wants to stay up to date with what is happening in the TDE world.
We want to thank all users and supporters of TDE and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

libxine2 introduced a change to volume control in version 1.2.12, switching from linear to logarithmic. This is now in Debian (from bookworm) and Ubuntu (from 22.10 Kinetic). The change affects volume regulation and granularity and some users find this inconvenient.
We are working with libxine2 devs to reintroduce linear scaling, but in the meantime you can still use linear control by downgrading libxine2 to older versions.
More info about the problem and downgrading at: https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/tdemultimedia/issues/40
