If the descentralization of social networks continue, we will have to prepare for the eventual rise of the instances wars, where people will start to fight about which instance is better and which one is weird to be in and so on, but that’s for the future of us all.
Hello all! I created this community to act as a haven for one piece related discussions. I did not expect us to reach 175 members already. I would like to encourage more discussions, increase activity. With regards to that, I am asking you all, if there is a need for mods to get the community to engage more and get more...
As Lemmy starts maturing, there starts being so many communities out there that it’s pretty hard to keep track. I’ve been browsing for about a month now, here’s a list of popular communities I’ve subscribed to that others would find interesting!...
The more people see the engagement, the more chance of them asking "what is that?" It won't be long until the apps are better, and links to articles could be less likely to get suppressed than migration memes....
I agree with the idea but as someone pointed out, let’s not spam it. Also the idea works well to show that content is being generated and encourage on lemmy that would help new users join and engage
In the newest git version, there's now a list of your subscribed communities. At the moment, it doesn't seem to pick up all subscriptions (mlemapp is missing, for example), but I feel a hint of Apollo in here and like it. Well done, devs 👍
Third @ManUtd bid for Mason Mount, around £55m, expected. Club set to walk away from the deal if Chelsea don't accept. With a year left, United do not believe a £70m valuation is realistic.
Even when I think about ES6, I’ve no idea how they are going to approach the game. Is it going the same of Skyrim with minor changes and higher graphical fidelity? Or change the approach. So many games have launched between Skyrim and ES6 that I can’t imagine the pressure they have in order to bring the next novel elder scrolls game
Oh wow. I totally forgot about that one. My favorite part of Skyrim has always been the immersion. I just always forget when I enter the world of what I need to do. The flexibility to actually w/e the hell you want to is just insane.
Absolutely. That would be crazy if they achieve that. Too many expectations are riding on the game especially given the fact that the last iteration of the game came out 10+ years ago
Starting last night, about a thousand subreddits have gone private. We do anticipate many of them will come back by Wednesday, as many have said as much. While we knew this was coming, it is a challenge nevertheless and we have our work cut out for us. A number of Snoos have been working around the clock, adapting to...
I hope this response further pisses off the subs who decided to do a fixed time blackout. The user base cannot be taken for granted. Reddit is only good as the content and the creators along with the mods.
Oh man. That just feels like yesterday. Still haven’t found any game that’s close to Skyrim. Only game I can think of that similar yet different in its own unique way that I absolutely love is Dragons Dogma. Can’t wait for Capcom to show more of DD2 on Monday!!
I agree. I will boot up the game once in a while to scratch that itch and then stop. I do the same with FO4 for some reason. I don't know why but I am hoping they tease ES6 at the showcase. Extremely slim to none of a chance
Hello all! I just migrated from Reddit and seeing there isn't any one piece group/community yet, I took this opportunity to go ahead and make one. I hope it provides the same space it did there for discussing everything one piece related. Enjoy pirates!
I just joined lemmy and I am super delighted to see the gaming group here! I hope I can catch on news, discussions and participate here. Have a great weekend everyone
Absolutely. I wasn't on reddit during the initial days but from what people tell me, it was a similar experience. So the way for us to make the migration successful is to be active at the moment and participate. Rest will follow

If Lemmy and Mastodon continues to get popular, we will eventually get Instance wars.

Rather than telling Reddit users to migrate, share links to Fediverse posts to drive them here
The more people see the engagement, the more chance of them asking "what is that?" It won't be long until the apps are better, and links to articles could be less likely to get suppressed than migration memes....
