    @littlealex Would you want to access it with a local NNTP fat-client or through a web experience? It was missing the ability to upvote/downvote threads and comments, both of which have really helped filter the signal to noise of modern day forums. How to deal with quality vs low quality content?

    @littlealex Such a blast from the past thinking about this. I briefly ran a Usenet server in the late 90s and before that, a Fidonet node in the dial up BBS days. I do really like the concept of using any preferred client to access the network. Perhaps new Usenet related RFC and a client/server demo are in order. Now I wonder why the world abandoned Usenet... it was working pretty well for it's time.

    @littlealex It's tough to monetize. Which means... less incentive to make it a thing :(
