Notification seem to not be working here on kbin? I just checked settings and apparently they were all unchecked. the options are confusing so I just checked them all lol. hopefully I can start seeing replies now?
@AshDene Mastodon (mentioned above) is more like a Twitter replacement for microblogging, linking content through tags, etc.
Kbin is more Reddit like, where magazines are your subs. But unlike reddit, you can also microblog within a magazine. You can also just post/link to the 'random' magazine.
@AshDene Random's magazine is described as "all the content from the Fediverse that couldn't be classified into any other magazine". So yes, once a federated link is established, it seems Kbin will try to sort it into a magazine. Otherwise, it interprets it as a 'post'.
Posts end up on the microblog. Threads are more intentional... It's strange.
