Schade. Ich finde das präventive Blocken merkwürdig. Könnte ja sein, dass es hier noch netter wird mit den paar Hansele, die sich von threads nach ich_iel etc verirren. Wenn nicht, können wir ja immer noch deföderieren.
Ich denke mal die Threads-Lemmy Interaktionen würden sehr limitiert bleiben und eventuell auch sehr schlecht funktionieren und Nutzer eher abschrecken. Da ist Mastodon als erste Testphase für dieses soziale (Medien) Experiment sowieso besser geeignet. Danach kann man immernoch schauen.
Ich bin der Meinung dass wir Zucc und sein Facetwitter hier nicht brauchen. Auf lange Sicht könnte die Integration von Threads, durch dessen eventuell massiven Wachstums, zur kompletten Übernahme des Fediverse bzw des ActivityPub-Protokolls durch Meta führen. Und wer will schon dass das Fediverse zu einem zweiten Facebook/Twitter/Instagram wird?
Siehe was Google/MS mit E-Mail machen, embrace end extinguish oder so. Erst letztens gabs die Meldung das MS die Mails eines kleinen, Privatsphäre-freundlichen Anbieters, Tuta(nota) nich mehr annimmt. Bedauerliche Einzelfälle, wahrscheinlich.

There’s a bit of squabbling at the Board of Directors stage, as there’s more people involved. But it turns out that the Board of Directors acted entirely like Elon Musk sycophants. The Court of Delaware was not amused at this obvious and massive scale corruption where Elon Musk loyalists set the wage of Elon Musk.
Toyota had a similar issue with the accelerator pedal getting stuck. If I recall the cause, was people using multiple floor mats and those extra ones getting under the pedal when accelerating and panicking.
I had a Prius that had a recall for the factory floor mat doing that! Luckily I already had some nice hard plastic mats, but that’s a scary thought. RIP my beloved Prius, and fuck drunk drivers.
I’m not sure if it’s due to general distraction caused by the screen, or misuse of ADAS, or just the typical attitude of the owner group, but I’ve gotten used to expecting erratic behavior from Teslas on the road, and compensating. That’s unfortunate.
