Scratchpad Post

Thinking about how to structure a place that will be my first check in the morning. Right now, I pick up my phone because I’m not fully awake enough to do something self-directed and my actual tasks are ill-defined and would require visioning-planning-executing - which is not what I’m ready for in the morning.

**sometimes I am ready to go in the morning, but it often requires acting under duress (up harshly early, running to be on time, under terrible deadline)

  • design a clear way to see my day ahead
  • need to have clear tasks, and I want this challenge to be limited to 1 task per day (in addition to the rituals, routines)

Right now, what I think I should be doing is really based on recommendations from others, id really like to find a way to see which habits are really contributing to my well being, instead of this vague idea of “do all these things and now you can’t blame your inertia on your physical heath” - which is not healthy.

  • need to have data collection and subjective feedback in order to move forward (what I did, how I feel).
  • need to expose my internal state so I can correlate it with outcomes and learn to move thru conflicts between what I want to do and what I want done
    • ie: want to start writing a food website (kbin magazine???) that I can use to simplify green & good eating, but I don’t work at it and instead scroll or play casual games
