We've been quiet lately -- working on our next project. But we're still here. And GAY WRATH MONTH approaches!
...wait, 'Pride'? Okay, but how about 'Greed'? Greed would work! You can be gay and do crimes in Penny Larceny: Gig Economy Supervillain. http://fictionfactorygames.com/pennylarceny/
So the other day I was looking for a "talky beeps" sound effect -- y'know, from visual novels like Phoenix Wright -- and just to share the wealth, I found a pretty damn robust system for that which doesn't require extra plug-ins or generating WAVs. https://dmochas-assets.itch.io/dmochas-bleeps-pack
Our next game is "The Shadow Over Cyberspace," a modempunk Y2K sci-fi horror story about the rise of digital eldritch gods. Embrace the deathless aeons or go offline permanently.
When completed, it will be FREE. Zero dollars. No live service, no MTX, nothing. How? Read on...🧵
We are LIVE with a work-in-progress look at our next game, plus other announcements! (We'll get the news out on our socials after the stream, too!) https://www.twitch.tv/2flower
@jackslack we'll go anywhere people want us. Except maybe threads, just on general principle because Meta owns it. But allegedly it's going to get integrated into Mastodon anyway, so will indirectly be there.
Right now we're in early production on a science fiction game about artificial intelligence.
And we will not use generative AI for any part of it. Not art, not music, not voices. Even if it'd be thematically appropriate we are not appropriating anyone else's work.
@FictionFactoryGames I mean, I'm happy to do that, also! I do not have a reel or anything. (not my day job like I said, never been paid or anything) However it is something I have been wanting to do more of for a while. I did read a chapter of Worm for a fan-made audiobook, let me go find it.
Watching someone play Penny Larceny after listening to loadingreadyrun's Qwerpline all day, and realized -- I was subconsciously emulating their pacing and comedy style. Absurdist reality twists with amusingly horrified reactions.
Welcome to the Black Friday, a made up holiday celebrating greed and FOMO! Let's do a Henchmen For Hire bundle giveaway to celebrate. Most entertaining answer to this question wins:
If you're reading these words, it means you went out of your way to follow our socials. You're and supporting our tiny indie as we try to tell stories you'll enjoy. And that means everything to us.
It's rough out here for an indie, especially one in a hard-to-market genre like visual novels. Your efforts at spreading awareness of Penny Larceny and Arcade Spirits are important, and appreciated. So... thank you.
