I feel terrible for Sheila, what an awful thing to have happen. David seems like gem, but I like to reserve my judgement for later in the season. It seems like he wants to be there for her and isn’t sure how to because of different customs and such.
Statler is a nut. She dove in the pool without looking and didn’t realize it’s actually not the crystal clear waters she imagined.
She’s very spoiled and seems like a selfish person. I liked her quirkiness but seeing how she reacted in the UK turned me off. Dempsey is so cute though!
David and Sheila - I find Sheila definitely worries too much. David is kind at heart and doesn’t care much about external circumstances while Sheila sees ghosts at every corner. I hope the story from the preview will not make her resentful against David (maybe because she thinks he somehow caused “bad luck” and the death of that person).
The Mexico City couple - so boring, I wish they’re not invited.
Amanda and Ravzan, the latter is definitely into it and gives his best but Amanda is clearly not over her dead husband and not open for a relationship at all.
Nicola/Meisha - I’m not sure who is worse. Nicola not handling Meisha right (maybe due to his lack of experience with women) or Meisha expecting Nicola to be her perfect Prince Charming without respecting the difference in culture.
Statler - well, I imagine her autism is making her unable to comprehend how socially awkward her sex talk is, so I won’t criticize her for that. I do worry about her saying that she can’t live in the “tight space” of her girlfriend long-term, when that should be the least of her worries.
Mary and Brandon are just going to lie to their grandparents, I would just say: “When we first saw each other at the airport, we were so happy to finally see each other in person” or something along these lines.
TJ obviously put a lot of effort and money into building that appartment, but of course it does not live up to American standards. No reason being half as hysteric as she’s been. No chance for them having a happy married life if on Day 1 they’re insulting each other. But then, there’s Jasmine and Gino…
Danielle is an instant skip. She and Yohan are such a turn-off.

I’m still behind but I don’t like Armando and what’s good name on here. It’s seems the Mexico city thing is so forced and made up since I have yet heard a reason they should move.

Correct, Nicola needs to stay worth his mom because it appears he doesn’t want the responsibility of being a husband, stay home with momma.
We just watched the first episode. It still feels more genuine than the flagship, but they are letting the crazy creep in. The Colombian fellow looks like he could be a train wreck. It’s always a bad sign when you’re talking about “sexy girls” that look nothing like the woman that’s about to visit you.
Finally I’m caught up! I like Meisha, but there’s 0% chance she’s into this guy. She sounds genuine, but there’s nothing on this planet that can make me believe she’s on this show for any other reason than to be on TV. Nicola is one of THE biggest losers we’ve ever seen and they just aren’t compatible at all. I would maybe give them the benefit of the doubt if they had anything in common, but they don’t.
I was most impressed with his pious guide to the sins of going into a club and dancing before, you know, going into a club and dancing.
Maybe it’s just me, but I understand why TLC is releasing this season of TOW in the Monday slot. It’s pretty…boring? The best thing that came out of this episode was a commercial that TLC is bringing back Strange Addictions.
Brandan/Mary - The only interesting couple so far. This last episode really felt to me like Brandan is caught up in sunk-cost fallacy when it comes to Mary. He’s sent every dollar he’s made to her. Something ridiculous like 50K?
Long haired girl/Wayne - I don’t remember her name. Did anyone notice her scenes were really weird? When she was in the car with her mum, it sounded like she was badly reading off a script. Either the cameras are freaking her out or she’s a really bad actress. Or something else is going on.
Dutch girl/whatever his name is - They’re fine, I guess? They seem normal. I was playing on my phone.
Kenny/Armando - Why are they even on this season? They’re already together as a couple. They should be on ‘House Hunters International’, not 90DF.
Kim/TJ - I already posted a meme about this. We’re just doing the same thing for the third time in a row. Indian guy wants to marry an American woman but hides that fact that he wants her to be a traditional Indian housewife. We all know how this is going to go.
It’s so sad watching Brandan and Mary’s segments. Their relationship is so damaging with all the constant surveillance and complete lack of privacy/boundaries, especially with them both being so young. Mary is absolutely horrible for freaking out every time a woman is in his general vicinity (while turning around and sneaking out to see her male friends, no less). And if I remember correctly from episode 1, Brandan made her quit her dance team which made her lose her college scholarship! Both have been through less than ideal circumstances which shaped who they are up to this point, but it doesn’t seem like either of them should be in a relationship with anyone right now …I really hope they end things early and invest in some intense therapy :(
ETA - I’ll have to give ep1 a rewatch because I don’t remember if Brandon said he wanted her to quit dancing/modeling or if she did it on her own (someone feel free to correct me on that point). With all of Mary’s abusive tendencies I wouldn’t be surprised of she did it and then turned it around to make it his fault. Absolutely dreading seeing how they interact in person
Jasmine and Tyray seem to be playing it up for the audience - cannot imagine this to be real. Same as Tyray - his actions don’t match his knowledge at all. Christian and Cleo I can imagine to be somewhat real and it confirms my worries that a party person and an autistic one aren’t the best match. Nicola and Meisha are hard on each other with words but their actions show that they’re better with each other than we think. Lastly, Violet seems to have some real bodies in the closet, seeing her unwillingness to discuss any of her mistakes whatsoever.
I also think Louise is pretty ridiculous. She acts like she has a child… her son is an adult! With a job! I really loved her son though. He seemed to love his mom but also think she was completely ridiculous and that the whole situation was absurd.
Just started! Also feeling positive about Shane, though it does sound like she acts differently around him in turkey than she plans to in the uk, which isn’t great!
