China wants to get the boot of the fossil fuel industry off its neck for geopolitical reasons.

What's interesting is the North American auto industry, doesn’t want the same freedom from a planet-frying industry.

What inducements are in play to keep a planet-destroying industry on top?

The Saudi purchase of Elon Musk is certainly a factor. The bought the GOP too.
