stopped by my favorite birding spot after work and had these fellas fly in over my head. guest appearance by a great blue heron....

A hummingbird snoring.

So the parakeets have figured out my lamp feeder. I tried some fine tuning, but they still are at it with this latest variant. No trouble at all landing on it. I think they don’t like it as much though, they only stay for a short while now, i kinda hope they end up thinking it’s not worth it anymore....

We sometimes feed the local crows - and the occasional Raven as well - and this crow really likes to chitter for a bit before coming down and getting some food.

This guy has been visiting us regularly. I hope he takes care of our ground hogs for us.

There is a pair of Red-Backed Shrikes in my neighbourhood that I haven't yet been able to see. I knew, however, where they typically hang out so I went there yesterday with my camera and tripod, set up the camera to point and potential perches and finally managed to see them and take a few short videos!...
