@CindySue@bookstodon I’m 44 and enjoy reading YA, especially contemporary stories. Not so much a fan of sci-fi or fantasy, which currently seem to be taking over the market.
@CindySue Reading The Prisoner's Throne by Holly Black right now. I enjoy YA fantasy and some romance. I tend to dislike YA in which the characters have very little control over their own lives -- which of course can be important for actual teens.
@CindySue@bookstodon I don't often read YA (I'm 26). There are many YA books that actually seem interesting, but after reading quite a few of them a couple of years ago, I learned that I don't have as much patience for YA characters as I'd like.
