Anyone have any comments? Only thing I couldn't fit anywhere was the Internet of Things. That's not really something that peaked in any era.
There's a whole timeline for the shut down but after Feb 24, and apparently the site will remain up for the time being. Authors can save their own stories and most stories are downloadable.
There are currently no plans I can see to mirror the site via Archive.org or the OTW. The creators are moving onto something called CharacterHub.
Just a heads up in case someone was looking to download stuff from here and didn't do it.
It's covered in the NFO but this is really just a compilation of loose tracks and songs I can put on streaming. Really I'm just excited I can start working on new music. I got so much planned.
Did you know you can re-texture NES games with Mesen2? Here's a trailer of an HD remaster of the first Metroid game that is fundamentally the same base game, even requiring the ROM for it.
Hopefully one day someone takes a crack at Street Fighter 2010 or Milon's Secret Castle. Would love to see those games with these kinds of graphics.
Imo, I'm glad it didn't get picked up. Graphics aside I really don't like the concept of old man Zool. Just looks dumb. Zool Redimensioned proved that concept can stay in 2D and still be 'modern'. They really should just make a 3rd game in that style. Have it conclude the Zool's fight against Krool.
(though it looks like we're not getting a Zool Redimensioned 2 either)
Thinking on it I guess this could have been a Christmas song but ah well. This song also doubles as a preview for my upcoming litrpg novel, Ruminations of the Voidwalkers. Don't wanna say much but Thoth plays a huge role in the book.
I don't fw with paganism much but the character of Thoth has always intrigued me. Especially his role in Hermeticism and occult thought. Don't know why the writers took such interest in him but I find him just as fascinating. And this comes after I've made songs called the Slaying of Anubis and the Slaying of Horus.
This track will also be on the upcoming mixtape/compilation thing, Earth-Station End-Times.
Fun tidbit, this is one of my oldest songs written it just took a LONG time to get it released. It's been recorded since like June of last year. I just never released it because of various other crap.
This pissed off a lot of people to the point I saw my Twitter feed were going through guides on how to remove Opera GX and replace it with something similar.
Personally I don't see the issue. Opera GX's whole thing is that it's 'gamer' browser. Their whole twitter presence is just jokes and memes. How are you really gonna be surprised when they add something like this? They removed it but if my browser did something similar I'd probably find it hilarious.
Redid one of my earlier songs with skills I've picked up. Far better than V1. I'm satisfied now but when I get to V2 (in a few years probably) I'm sure it will be even better. Until then this will be the definitive version.
It's just as weird as you think. It has so much charm! Got a memory of playing it in class, the teacher completely confused as to why someone would even make this. Game's loosely based off the plot with some things changed such as the setting now being post-apocalyptic. Also has it's own version of Omega, super hard boss you aren't expected to kill.
Played it on Android back then, also inadvertently making if one of my favourite Android games. Studio's done other games but I haven't tried their most recent outing yet.
I've never used an apple device so I don't know much about Localsend but I always like seeing tools to ease sending files across. Especially with the latest Dropbox drama about AI doing things locally is sometimes better than using a centralized service.
I really had no idea these games existed years ago. Like, I played the original Orcs & Elves on the NDS and loved it. Had no idea more games like it existed. Mean sure, stuff like Legend of Grimrock and SMT exist but none had the same feelings that Orcs & Elves gave me. DRPG gave me the same feeling.
Too bad the sequel isn't as good but this game was amazing.
