I run to Ubuntu or Linux Mint on everything except my gaming PC. Every year or two I try out Linux for gaming and usually go back to windows. With steam deck out it seems like Linux gaming is the best it's ever been. With that said I'm still a bit frustrated with freezing (halo mcc) and Bluetooth being super flakey on my 8bitdo...

TL;DR: Bloons TD 6 launches in Wayland but not at all in Xorg. And Wayland performance sucks in KDE with NVIDIA Optimus so sticking with Wayland is a no for me. Tested with both Heroic Games launcher flatpak and the system package. What’s weirder is that last time I installed it, the game ran fine in Xorg...

OpenMW is an excellent version of Morrowind and arguably probably the best.

The only thing keeping me pinned on Linux is my Flight Simulator setup, where I main MSFS2020 alongside several add-ons. Has anyone here been able to get a functioning setup off of windows with this game? Would love to finally ditch the windows partition once and for all.

Interesting results, in a nutshell it seems like Wayland/Xwayland performance on both nVidia and AMD wins slightly more than it loses. Once VRR is live in nVidia 545 series driver, for 3D games, Wayland is looking to deliver a great experience. Performance when Wine's Wayland code is ready to mainline will be very interesting...
