I’m starting to create managed user accounts for my two daughters on plex. They are 7 and 4, so movies I’m giving them access to consist mostly of Pixar/Disney type stuff. Well, when I log into their users, it has recently added movies and TV shows, which show appropriatle the things I’ve given access to from my server....
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I have a pretty beefy PC I use as a server and HTPC. 24 2.5ghz cores, 64gb ram, kind of a crappy video card, debian 11. I just migrated all my stuff over and stress tested it supporting 8 different transcribed streams simultaneously (mix of in/out of local). That worked great....
There’s apparently a Plex outage currently. And it’s a bit frustrating as it’s preventing our TV app from connecting. Just an endless spinner after choosing a user despite only using local media etc.
When I first learned how to put my media into Plex, I did it by using Handbrake, compressing the content down to .mp4, and doing my best to use “audio passthrough” for the highest quality audio tracks I could find. But nowadays a lot more discs are coming with TrueHD, which apparently isn’t supported by the .mp4 container....
