GravitySpoiled,

A link to what happened would be useful

A Temporary container gets deleted. Others don’t get deleted.

Wow!

I hope it’s like peertube that people can share bandwidth?

GravitySpoiled, (edited )

That’s your opinion.

I like updating it to modern conventions. One day they become default and on another day you get rid of the old ones. The people of the future don’t have to learn two sets of keybindings.

GravitySpoiled,

Debian is great for servers, not for desktop novices. Use a state of the art desktop OS like fedora (atomic) and you won’t face a lot of those issues.

Yes, linux “has a problem” with nvidia but we should blame nvidia, not linux.

But the Pi 5 doesn’t play well with the regular smartphone power adapters. It’s a good thing that I got the official power adapter. You should get one, too.

You just need the right voltage

Edit: that’s just an ad for a raspberry pi cooler.

You can also use the official cooler for 6€ www.raspberrypi.com/products/active-cooler/

GravitySpoiled,

Whatsapp wasn’t ever federated. Was it?

Google did not yet close the doors with email. You can still use email and communicate with everyone and everyone has the right to choose another service, yet most tend to use google, even many people on apple devices that I know.

GravitySpoiled,

Fedora atomic GNOME (silverblue) or a ublue variant

GravitySpoiled, (edited )

You may want to uninstall firefox and install it as a flatpak to have codecs out of the box. Or use a ublue variant which ships with flatpak forefox. if you’re into gaming, look into bazzite.

You can add any path to your PATH variable in your .bashrc or whatever you use anyway.

There are live USBs. It’s usually best to check it out yourself.

Snaps aren’t that slow anymore. They closed the gap a couple of months ago. (I still dislike snaps and ubuntu for pushing them)

GravitySpoiled,

Are you drunk?

The entire point of FOSS is to create alternatives to paid and proprietary software

GravitySpoiled,

That sounds like a bug tracker where stuff reports things that shouldn’t have happened.

GravitySpoiled,

And there was already a style change 😅

I’d really like to know where Kde is heading style wise (I’m a regular donor)

GravitySpoiled,
GravitySpoiled,

Can you share some info about it? I don’t get any info on the page on codeberg without reading the code. What engine does it use?

GravitySpoiled, (edited )

why can’t I see my comment when I browse lemmy.ml without being logged in?

The post got upvoted so someone must have been able to see it.

There is even another post from someone on lemmy.zip
