They’re going to need a big cell. There’s Putin who’s already been charged. And Assad is worse than any of them in terms of the number killed. Not to mention the ones doing genocide in Sudan (not for the first time).

It’s political hardball. Republicans use this issue as a wedge. By making them declare on it as a stand alone measure, Democrats remove the issue. It could pass the Senate, but Johnson will never bring it to the floor in the House. The narrative will then be reinforced that Republicans don’t want to solve the problem, they just want to talk about it.

The scenario of a split is interesting but very low probability since there are Democraticame Senators who can make sure that doesn’t happen by their vote. I imagine there will be Democratic Senators voting for this bill. It’s not what they do that’s important, it’s what Republicans do. Johnson won’t bring it to the floor for the s reasons he didn’t last time. Trump told him not to.

There’s no conspiracy. There’s a 30 year old helicopter flying in a mountainous area in pea soup. It was stupidity not conspiracy.

Under those weather conditions I doubt it. Two of the three helicopters made it. One did not.

A great deal of fog in the area, but they’ll blame the Israelis in any case. They formed an emergency government, so there’s more to this story.

Edit: It’s now nighttime, and the rescue teams have yet to reach the crash site. The Iranian Red Crescent has reported that some of their own rescue teams are lost.

Locals suggest that the area becomes a hunting ground for wolves and bears at night, raising concerns that if the crew is injured, nature may take its course.

The Revolutionary Guard has gone into mourning.
