SzethFriendOfNimi,

He’s a fickle god whose blessings are focused or blurred as willed by the denizens of the QA realm.

But with daily focus and attention to details, and frequent donations to Ali, you too may be able to receive the blessings.

Devotee level: Owner of Frank, Ender with a new brain, new smithing implements of Steel from Dragons who Fly of the land of Phaetus, new vessels of power who practice the ancient and yet new arts of CAN, Trained daily and under the supervision of Pi wielder of the chalice of Klipper.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Spoiler isn’t working on Memmy client for some reason

SzethFriendOfNimi,

I wonder if they’re doing that to reduce the write cycles on the cells and since they’re “encrypting” the contents of the cells they figure the overall IO flag of the data being deleted is “good enough”.

So, in a perfect world, when you wipe the phone it’s basically just trashing the encryption key and so it’s useless data.

That’s all assuming that the encryption method/keys are foolproof which is always a bad bet.

And, this here makes me wonder how effective that is.

And a person claimed in a later post that “around 300” of their old pictures, some of which were “revealing,” appeared on an iPad they’d wiped per Apple’s guidelines and sold to a friend.

That’s a huge issue. Not just for photos but also files for sensitive data, secrets, etc. this, if true, is a massive issue overall since it even happening at all shouldn’t be possible.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Voidstar Labs. The perfect person for popularizing prints that produce pliable parts for pupils picking up accessible penmanship

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Definitely. He’s the right mix of informative and quirky/comedic delivery.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

I’m a subscriber of his since I watch these kinds of 3d printing channels

Here’s hoping the language isn’t so ambiguous that hospital workers will have to stop treating infectious people and surgeons aren’t having to consult with legal counsel on whether they can operate.

In public… meaning public outside and not public areas of the hospital right? Ambulances? Do those count? Etc.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

The only other thing to worry about are mosfets failing in an ON state.

Not sure if it’s the same risk with SSR’s

SzethFriendOfNimi,

It’s not that they melt as much as they just keep dumping heat into the heater cartridge and wires.

And if failed in an on state thermal runaway isn’t going to stop it.

It’s relatively rare though. I’m not too worried about it but it’s one of the reasons I watch my printer and of course there’s thermal fuses for such occasions if you really needed it.

Qualified experts of Lemmy, do people believe you when you answer questions in your field?

The internet has made a lot of people armchair experts happy to offer their perspective with a degree of certainty, without doing the work to identify gaps in their knowledge. Often the mark of genuine expertise is knowing the limitations of your knowledge....

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Structure and build? Look at the guy using Waterfall instead of Agile development.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

This is how EA should be used. As a way to iron out issues

That actually fits in the Dune universe.

Dune itself happens around 20,000 years in the future.

Here’s a timeline that covers the various events in human history

dune.fandom.com/wiki/Timeline_(Expanded_Dune)

Considering the title I’m guessing this will cover the inception of the Kwisatz Haderach program by the Bene Gesserite. A long term human genome program thousands of years in the making and undermined by the premature birth of Paul when his mother was supposed to have a girl instead.

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Maybe but it also shows has humanity has gotten complacent/stagnated which is a key plot point in the later books.

For that you need time for various events such as the guild, the butlerian jihad, etc and then time for everything to be in a kind of equilibrium for millennia

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Awesome! It’s totally radical and all the PHAT people know how to be hip. You better be there or be square dig it?

SzethFriendOfNimi,

I remember seeing tactical pause on the steam page video.

Barring some PVP mode that’s something if really want in a game line this myself

SzethFriendOfNimi,

You didn’t. A single outer circle meets the requirements of each recursive sign.

In my opinion you’re already an overachiever

I prefer to buy video games without knowing anything about them

When I hear about a new game, I usually read the first sentence or two on Wikipedia. I rule out games described as certain genres or types, like soulslike or online-only multiplayer games. Then, I check reviews on a site like Metacritic. If the critic or user reviews (doesn’t need to be both) are good enough, I add it to a...

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Pick up 6 years later… so you don’t accidentally do it too soon

SzethFriendOfNimi,

How’s the printer doing? Has the Gremlin moved out yet?

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Ahh. Maybe some internal resistor was causing noise on the pin… or even the MCU.

Like trying to debug a pc issue only to find out it’s a faulty motherboard

SzethFriendOfNimi,

Wiring from the PSU to the board?

Or any kind of backfeed on the motors like when you move them by hand quickly? Which I’ve done and not, so far, fried anything but it can.

Man… Gremlins suck.
