Batteries on trains are not really needed if the rail is electrified. In Europe we have them everywhere. And better public transport reduces the need for cars. And ebikes can be the solution for many uses. It only takes thinking outside the car box.
The post is about Biden and Trump. Sorry for assuming things. But that doesn’t mean you have to call me muppet. “I’m British and I disagree” (or something like that) would be better.
If the transport companies don’t require electric vehicles the infrastructure company won’t builds it. I don’t say that’s the case but it could be. If everybody has only a bicycle you don’t spend money on a highway.
I know the problem in rural zones. I live in one. But if they can reduce the car dependency in cities and to some extend in big towns that’s a lot of car batteries that don’t have to be build.
And just as a note, there are electric tractors. Still small but…
The strange thing about fast food places is that there’s no “train of food” where you just have to order in a screen and a robotic line makes your food. I’d say it’s one of the first places that could do that.
Developers still continue to shaft anyone that isn’t using an IBM PC compatible. But if the IBM PC was more closely related to the latest Nexus/Pixel device, then would the gaming experience on smartphones be any good?
But the ARM architecture is based on the MOS 6502 CPU and it is an almost successor of the Motorola 6800. So the roots are almost from the same time. Had IBM chosen the 68000 instead…
PS: the first ARM CPU was made in 1985. The 8086 is from 1978.
It’s not the same. When you have a dog you use a leash and, if needed, you can restrain the mouth.
In this case you are not in control. And you can’t be. You are just a passenger. And you should have the same responsibility as a passenger in a train: none.
I think they should aim to turn all that CO2 to carbon fiber. That way they could sell it and and have a profit. That way would lead to others building their own capture plants (if there’s money to win…).
Why not “liberate” a part of you’re own country. Give it to some other country. It doesn’t matter if everyone there doesn’t want it. Fuck them all and give it to another country.🤦♂️ Everyone in Ceuta and Melilla are as Spaniards as someone from Madrid. It’d be like asking the US to give back Alaska.
And, by the way, if that’s because a European country has a part in Africa, ask Türkiye to “give back” its European part. And France has to give back all its overseas territories. And UK has to give back the Malvinas.🤦♂️

If the IBM PC used an ARM (or related) CPU instead of the Intel 8088, would smartphones ultimately have sucked less?
