I would like to thank @TheDude for giving a reset a try. Hopefully the next lemmy version will fix the issue but at least for now "active" feed should be fresh again.
Or, what if the app had its own instance in the future? Would help with onboarding new users to lemmy for simplicity (of course with the option to sign up elsewhere in app too).
Did you actually continue using it after update initially dropped? Because I wasnt a fan either when it was thrust upon me but after using it and customizing I was quite happy.
Is it just me, or is sort by active worse on sh.itjust.works than on other instances? On sh.itjust.works, it gives posts (both local and federated) that are weeks old. If I do the same on lemmy.world, it gives much more relevant posts that are a few hours to around a day old. Maybe there are some server settings that could be...
I was lucky enough to be into it before every one was. Back when NES games were just old hardware people wanted to get rid of cheaply. I could never reasonably replace my collection now with market prices.
That link lets me scroll through all the communities, or search.
I do see the magnifying glass, so I can search for communities. But I don't see a way to browse communities.
I like other things about the Kbin layout and feel, so I'd like to try to stay here. But so far it doesn't seem easy to browse the Fediverse communities here.
(Also, I was trying to add a POST, but I don't know how to do that. Just switched me over to MICROBLOG. This is not very straightforward.)
What are people's thoughts on how Reddit is coming out of this so far? How bad have things been for Reddit? Do we know how much their traffic has dropped and would a drip in traffic even hurry them that much. Why don't we see talk of a new blackout at the end of the month?
I am theoretically switching over from Reddit to Lemmy. Finding myself spending more time on Lemmy than on Reddit. Maybe it's because I am limited to using the desktop and can't aimlessly browse Reddit on my iPhone. Of late, the only subreddits I cared for were on sports and their matchday threads and r/watches. I found myself...

Sync for Lemmy is in the works!
Dev just announced it. I'm so happy.
Instance has been reset (active sort fix?)

No matter what I sort by there seems to be an endless stream of new posts.

What is the proper "Default sort" for the best experience
Hi All, Salut à tou.te.s...
Sort by active broken on this instance?

Wikipedia founder is also creating a reddit alternative (wts2.wt.social)
It's not in the fediverse, but it's interesting as evidence of a migration away from reddit.

Welcome!
Hello everyone!...
Has Reddit won and what does that mean?
What are people's thoughts on how Reddit is coming out of this so far? How bad have things been for Reddit? Do we know how much their traffic has dropped and would a drip in traffic even hurry them that much. Why don't we see talk of a new blackout at the end of the month?
Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?
