The smartest thing Apple has done in the past decade is buy TSMC a factory. They just gave a TSMC a factory for free, with the deal being they have guaranteed time every year, no fighting.
That’s what let them make their own laptop cpus, time. The M cpus aren’t good because of arm, or apple geniuses, but rather TSMC bleeding edge tech and high yeilds. And of course, every company that didn’t buy TSMC a factory has to fight for time, meaning everyone else loses out.
The costs of being a bleeding edge chip fab make reproducing tsmc elsewhere unattainable.
I’m saying that asking for information on the details of what is or is not in it, is a bad idea. because we don’t know, you don’t know, anyone getting mad and saying one thing or the other is a bad idea.
saying that it can’t make higher framerates when framegen exists is a bad idea, until we know it doesn’t do that.
i’m so tired of this community, reddit was better. be better.
No, there won’t be another xbox. Phil Spencer is angling to get gamepass on nintendo and sony. But he’s going to have to force it through the courts and government legislation, much like epic is doing with mobile stores now.
The “better option” is subscription services where you own nothing and the bottom drops out of the industry, just like music and film. You can cheer for that if you want, but it is not in the interests of the consumer.
I’m so tired that this kind of opinion has infested lemmy discourse. Reddit wasn’t this bad.
Wait for shit to come out before getting mad at it. You don’t have to write fan fiction on how mad you are about something just so you can get your anger based serotonin fix early.
Please. I’m pointing out how all you want to do is get mad about things and are in such a fervour to do so that you won’t even wait for the thing to exist to get mad about it.
You want to get mad? Fine, but don’t write fan fiction then get mad about that.
There was never any need. All the micro transactions were just time skips for the dumb. The systems are the same dragons dogma systems they had in the first one. They didn’t artificially change things to be grinder. They just put in paid for cheats.
If you want to use them, that’s fine, and certainly, this over paying for it. But people framing this as a need is bad. Which is expected of eurogamers headlines the past few years.
You can frame this as I don’t like non cosmetic microtransactions if you like. But you have to agree that isn’t what 99% of the online discourse is doing. Almost everyone is making statements that are not true because they want to feel outraged and want others to feel outraged, and because they have been lied to by another person’s outrage.
It’s a hurricane of lies, and it’s honestly been worse on lemmy than on reddit.
Lol, no, it isn’t. Anyone can set up an apt repository and ask you to use it. Many providers do… You might mean the walled garden of an official singular apt repository is safe.
You literally can, fast travel is a part of the game. And just like in the first game it’s limited behind an item. It’s is the exact same system the series has had for a decade. Just they let rich idiots skip the system.
Again, it’s the same exact system that was in the first game
It’s the same system as the first game. They designed the same system. I don’t know what is so hard to understand about this. They added skips for idiots that want to pay extra, but for the rest of us it’s the same damn thing as it was last time.
Honestly, I can’t take the outrage culture of lemmy anymore. It’s made this place unbearable.
Again, this stuff has been in multiple capcom games, and it hasn’t impacted anything. Nothing on re4 was devalued by its microtransactions either. It’s fine. For other companies that actually make things grinder sure, maybe. But this one just doesn’t do that. Which people might know if they paid attention.
Honestly, people are just looking for an axe to grind. I’d love to see this effort towards companies that do mass layoffs or something instead. But this case is totally inconsequential
it’s the same system that was in the first game they just let idiots buy a thing to skip the mechanic. Unless you think this future implementation of micro transactions affected the past.
