unironically, I saw a dude standing on the cycle path last weekend and I turned around and went another way :aurashrug: no bear anywhere sadly

lanodan,

@kaia crossing a bear on a cycle path sounds scary af

lanodan,

@kaia (that said maybe less scary than some cars and mopeds)

My brain: Immediately thinks about the stupid dog in Garfield 2 and end up just laughing at it.

Meanwhile actual character seems very loosely inspired from Ernst Rommel (nazi officer).

@sun Sadly it's blackbird-expensive so for me VisionFive 2 is more what I'd get (still pondering if I'd buy it as I don't really need a riscv board yet, but at least I'm glad Starfive actively pushes things mainline).

okay i finally published the blog post. it was originally about a neat trick for infra debugging but then i went way too deep into ipv6 link-local stuff https://astrid.tech/2024/05/28/0/ping-ff02-1/

lanodan,
@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me avatar

@astrid Reminds me that I should debug why pinging ff02::1 and ff02::2 doesn't works on some of my computers (including with the interface name), I feel like it's some nftables thing but it does that even on ones where icmp is outright accepted.

lanodan,
@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me avatar

@astrid "Funniest" one is it means ff02::1 doesn't works on my router. At least ip neigh works (think arp but also works for IPv6).

@siina Meanwhile here it looks a bit bad but no rain (and clearing up). Yet forecast says light rain.

#Steam
Si vous mourrez, Steam refuse que vous léguiez votre compte à vos proches (officiellement, bien sûr).
Vous imaginez les centaines, voir milliers d'euros qui partent ainsi en fumée ???
Raison de plus pour pirater tous les jeux.
https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/05/no-leaving-a-steam-account-in-a-will-after-you-die-according-to-valve/

lanodan,
@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me avatar

@sebsauvage Ça me parait étrange comme truc…

lanodan,
@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me avatar

@breizh @sebsauvage Gah…

i am pretty sure the amount of girl enjoyers on this part of fedi vastly outnumber the amount of boy enjoyers

lanodan,
@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me avatar

@cobalt @cell Well at the same time anime is like 90% girls in terms of characters, with many shows barely even having a mention of mens.

(It's like anime needs a reverse Bechdel test)

“How can you determine whether you are using a ramdisk at boot time¹? In Chapter 5 we mention using the distribution installation script to install the kernel versus doing the installation on your own. If you are using the distribution installation script, you are probably using a ramdisk. If you are installing it on your own, you are probably not.”
