Another 90s thing that is extinct now is seltzer shops. My parents would bring a mix of PET bottles and reusable valves (see pic) to the shop and they would be filled with seltzer. Nowadays, we buy mineral water. It's good but not as fun.
@mima@mian There is a service that someone runs where instances can share files that are commonly used, but seeing as it's not making much money for him, he has rules. You have to agree with his ideology. Why would he bother with an unprofitable service unless it's according to his tastes?
@mima@mian I also believe that the GPL (GNU Public License) is "greedy". It's a control freak software license. The truly free licenses are BSD/MIT or public domain. If you want to share, just put it out there and say it's for anyone to do anything with.
@thor Makes perfect sense since we taste with our eyes too. These would usually be chopped up and put in a stew. I literaly made the decision to cheap out when buying these.
