The Czech company Czechoslovak Group warns that rising prices and poor quality mean half of the shells it receives cannot be sent to Ukraine promptly. CSG plans to start supplying shells in June but faces issues with shells from Africa and Asia, requiring additional processing.

There's reason to suspect that getting enough trained Ukrainian pilots to use the "more than 60" F-16s earmarked for Ukraine might take some time.

While the Air National Guard doesn't want to say how many Ukrainians graduated, it was recently mentioned in a Congressional letter to Def. Sec. Austin that only 12 Ukrainian pilots are on track to graduation this year.

Unless there are alternative routes for training Ukraine's pilots, this sounds like a serious clusterf*ck.

@KraftTea from memory there are 10 more that started training in the UK and are now in France, still small numbers but they have to keep at it
