Went to the workshop after work. Needed to test something fitted in the lathe spindle. Also took the opportunity to do a 3d print, and start another to run overnight.

While the print ran I took the opportunity to improve some of the documentation on lathe tooling. A productive evening after a productive work day. Now on a train home.

I just spent a week debugging a mixture of ansible, docker, and nftables. Down to tracing packet flow through the machine trying to work out where the black hole is. Only to find it was an error in nginx. Argh.

Random musing:

What is the werewolf gut microbiome like? And what happens to it when a were shifts form? (Do humans get copious diarrhoea/purge themselves right after shifting? And what happens to the gut contents if a werewolf gorges on meat right before shifting back to human?) What about parasites in raw meat, eg. trichinosis?

And are xanthine alkaloids (like theobromine, found in chocolate) as toxic to werewolves as they are to canids?

India measuring temperatures over 52°C. We had 43°C a couple of years ago and it was unbearable. The idea of 10° more doesn't bear thinking about.

Temps are going up, and with water scarcity increasing out ability to deal with it is gonna diminish even more. Millions are gonna die.
