I’m definitely planning to support nested tags. Do you have an example for an app with a nested tag system you like? Also I’m not sure what you mean by meta tags, could you explain what that means?

If you like solar fields, try Asura (also on ultimae records)! Also, hinkstep is pretty nice but has vocals some of the time.

I’m writing a small music player to test it. The experience is pretty smooth, lots of examples and built in stuff. It’s a bit rough around the edges but I’d recommend it to anyone who likes rust

For storing state, I’d look at SQLite first. turbosql is a wrapper that looks like it’s a joy to use and I’ve been looking for an excuse to try it for a while :)

I recently tried pikapods (www.pikapods.com), they provide a pretty easy and stable way to run software like immich. The prices are reasonable as well, I’d say.
