There really are people who don’t give me time to react to the light change. I drive a manual. It takes time to clutch in, first gear, brake out, throttle in, clutch out. And don’t get me started on inclines.

I sometimes have to go straight through a specific light (where 95% of traffic goes right) to get home. So I’m first in line waiting at the red. No turn signal because I’m crossing the road. A woman in an SUV sitting behind me gives a little honk. Then a few seconds pass and she starts laying on her horn. I had to reach up and out of my sunroof and point straight ahead to tell her I am going straight. Stopped honking after that.

Oh and turning right on red is fucking optional.

Some people.

I’ve been running Half Life for the first time recently. I’m only a quarter century late.

I actually have done this in my auto Civic after daily driving my manual Prelude for a while. The good thing is I was only moving about 8 miles an hour when it happened, so it looked weird. Would be kind of cool to have the narrow brake pedal in the Civic lol

But yeah, I’ve been thinking about swapping the auto Civic for a manual Accord of the same vintage.

Can’t do the Christmas lights, I’m too busy hating my toaster.

Fun fact: Neptune was discovered on 23 Sept 1846. It takes 164.8 Earth years for it to complete an orbit, which means that the first full Neptunian year since discovery happened 12 July 2011.

Pluto won’t do this for another 154 years.

This kind of thing is what got me into actually reading install wizards instead of clicking next, next, agree, next, yes, install, finish. I learned I could just uncheck those agree/install boxes and still install the software I actually wanted without all the extra crap. That’s one trend from the 00s and early 10s I do not miss.

I would, but to do so, I must first insert my poo key. And I dunno, these voting requirements are getting more and more ridiculous each year. I have rights under the Twenty-Sixth, dammit!

It probably does, actually. Idaho isn’t exactly known for good sense, people first policies.

Man, I remember when Steve-O got his butt pierced. Good times.

You’re technically correct on one point, and totally entitled to your opinion on the other. But brown mushrooms (not from a can) sauteed into a hamburger steak gravy will kick it up about 14 notches, give or take.

A fence post driver is so much better than a post hole digger. Just give her a whack whack whack until it’s set. Handling the wire, though…that’s a bitch, especially if it’s barbed. Erecting an electric fence was child’s play, though.

This would have been so much funnier without any text.

Quicksand was never a problem for me, but growing up on a farm, soft mud was a common occurrence. Good news is you can pretty immediately tell when you’re walking through the stuff and can just…turn around. Worst that happens is you lose a boot, and that genuinely sucks.

But it’s not the kind of thing you step into and you’re up to your knee in 2 seconds.

Maybe if the manufacturers would make good, affordable small trucks, this wouldn’t be an issue.

But then the results of that would be rigged, too.

Show, don’t tell. The author also broke that rule in Panel 5 with “sex change occurs sounds” written off to the side. We see the 𝓶𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓬 𝓫𝓾𝓫𝓫𝓵𝓮. Clearly, that means the sex change occurred in the context of the setup. We get it, dude.

Speaking of abusive owner, I saw a Cybertruck in the wild for the first time today. Pictures and videos don’t do justice to how fucking atrocious those things are.

Here’s the seat tether

And here’s his harness

Any harness will do, really. We don’t even use the harness outside of the car. He does pretty well just being walked on his collar. He only ever pulls if he sees a squirrel. That’s one area where we’re working on training lol

I would be totally unsurprised to find out there’s some pit in there. He came from a shelter, and all the local shelters have tons of pits. His history before the shelter is a big question mark.
