The year of Linux was when Intel decided to fully support its hardware using in-house developers in upstream open source projects (Linux kernel, Mesa). Then pretty much everyone else followed. That was ages ago and now Linux is everywhere.
ARM isn’t anywhere near as open and standardized as x86 […] Apple doesn’t indulge in this despite selling ARM machines
Apple’s ARM machines aren’t open either. Asahi Linux relies entirely on reverse engineering. Sure, you’re right about Apple keeping operating system support up for a good while but if iOS is any indication, you can’t expect to install the newest macOS on Apple M1 Macs in 10 years.
That’s so annoying about motorsports in recent years. Commentators are tasked by the race series owners to hype up that BS. Researching the technology is fine. Scientists may find ways to capture carbon at a better rate at acceptable energy cost but shouting that an inefficient combustion engine is somehow better for the environment than EV because “batteries bad, carbon capture great” is just stupid.
Community in question has been eduring this for at least 4 years now.
Where were the negative TF2 reviews in the last 4 years then? Give TF2 a bad score, don’t rate other games badly, just because “the community” was complacent until now.
I’ve read that but the quality of Dota or Couter-Strike is unrelated to the quality of TF2. Review bombing those is stupid. Give TF2 a bad score. That’s fine because it’s about the quality of TF2. Give Dota and CS a bad score when those games suck.
