Double special basically meant you had to use a Trace Rifle. But traces just felt like slightly more powerful auto rifles to me, except now you had to worry about ammo....

Huh. A bunch of brand new services built by a new handful of techbros has a bias against people who don’t look and sound like them? That is quite the lofty accusation! /s
Solid video, and I know there’s a bunch more out there. Got any favorites? I have a small one I’ve enjoyed for a while: Deathbringer + Nezarec’s Sin or Battle Harmony....
are there any fediverse (or at least not meta or google owned) short form video content websites or apps? I'd love to leave Instagram behind, but my smooth little monkey brain needs that instant dopamine lmao...

Kbin. I think it has a more interesting feature set. Plus, the main Lemmy devs are apparently ‘free speech absolutists’ similar to Elon. They refuse to take down reported posts on their main instance, stuff like North Korea not being oppressive, pro-Putin propaganda, etc.
Well, most things probably get heavy if you're holding them for many hours. It all depends on your posture and seating arrangement. Can you lean on a table or desk? Playing on transit? Are you sitting on the couch? Standing somewhere? If you can find ways to lean your arms and hands on something, it can help a lot.
There are also lots of cases and stands that can prop up the Steam Deck so you can play with a controller, which is a bit lighter. You have lots of options.
@Atemu It’s literally a phrase popularized by Nazis. There’s nothing tongue in cheek about it. When a large group of people assign their own awful meaning to a phrase, it takes on an entirely new meaning for them. It becomes a dog whistle for them. It opens the door to start spreading their bullshit.
A recent example: the far right’s malicious coopting of ‘woke.’
Another recent example: we have actual, real life Nazis walking the streets and the hallways of the US government. That didn’t happen in a vacuum.
We're getting towards the mid-point of the year, and (unless I've missed it) I can't seem to find a thread for discussing what our favourite games of the year have been....
Great list! The only one I would add is Today in Destiny. It's a great resource for checking the daily and weekly active missions, raids, dungeons, lost sector, Xur location, etc.
It also has an 'EV Calendar' that lists all the stuff that will be silver-only for the season and another list for bright dust items. Sadly, it used to be able to tell us the exact week when items went up for BD and silver, but Bungie removed the timed window options from the API that TiD uses.
Anyone else insta-shred weapons if they don't have origin traits these days?
Yeah, there can be exceptions, like a specific old weapon or roll you're chasing....
Unpopular opinion? I don’t miss double special. I enjoy primaries and I’m happy they got good tuning passes lately

Destiny 2’s Zavala Recasting Was A Tough, Correct Choice (www.forbes.com)
Bungie makes the right call with a tough situation, as they have recast Lance Reddick's Zavala with a new actor.

I am interested in steamdeck but I have heard that it is really heavy if you are holding it for many hours.
Does this console worth it? Also how hot does it get in the summer if you are doing demanding things without AC?
I’ll never get away from this wretched weapon, will I?! (I don’t like Arbalest. Yes I know it’s good and yes, I’m weird)
