I asked my great grandfather about it, and he just kinda wept for a minute, stared off into space and said it belonged to his friend Jen Ex or something. He held my hand in his bony decrepit booger hooks, and I could see the years, the decades of joy, heartbreak, triumph, and pain flash across his eyes, and he was... more alive,...
Wasn't it just so fun? I remember the vibe being different, and I think "fresh and exciting" captures it well.
The emphasis on discovery by things curated by people gave the web an unmistakable DIY feel. Like, it was janky at times, yeah, but that was all right because the tech was still evolving, we were still learning, and JFC we're communicating with people from all over the planet!! How cool is that??

It is unusual. Release dates almost always get delayed, but this one actually got moved forward by like 8 months! Yeah, I'm excited too, I just assumed we wouldn't see it until 2025.
Alligator. Chewier than chicken. Tasted kinda like chicken. Would try again, I guess.
Also had ostrich burgers a couple of times. I'm told I was shitfaced and enjoyed them immensely, but I couldn't tell you for sure, for I was shitfaced.
Oh, I read that too fast, I thought they just refreshed the Heavy Destroyers. I've been slightly burned out lately and have not felt inspired to sign in for the past few weeks, but this changes things. I kinda wanna get some new vanity shots done for a few of my ships now that they've been given some polish. Yeah, that sounds super fun.
I totally forgot and didn't remember to order my ships until the day after the 3d model feature thing expired. Still kicking myself. Good luck with yours, I remember seeing some long turnaround times for that company, but they do ship the ships.
Yeah, I mean, the game ain't gonna shut down right away, it's still a cash cow. But it does feel like the game's best days are behind it, sad to say.

There are some very talented people working on this game, so I'm pretty sure most of them will be able to find a new place to work soon, if they haven't already. Sure sucks, though, that they got laid off just before the holidays :(
Count me in as one of the grateful fans too. I'm a lifelong Trek fan, the game at one point was really really incredible and so much damn fun. This fan sure does appreciate everything the devs put into it.
He had recently read about a high school creative writing assignment in which boys and girls were asked to imagine a day from the perspective of the opposite sex. While girls wrote detailed essays showing they had already spent significant time thinking about the subject, many boys simply refused to do the exercise or did so resentfully.
I mean, we're not just talking about the ability to communicate (which is important), but the basic ability to empathize. If men (in general) are unwilling to even consider the female point of view, is it any wonder why women have a difficult time dating? This isn't happening in a vacuum; there are real reasons why this is happening.

I bought this at an estate sale. It was leaking out of a box labeled "Goo cities." It's been in our living room for years, but we...we don't really know what it is or...why it is. We've been using it as a lamp. I'm starting to think it's not a lamp. (i.postimg.cc)
