They're enforcing for the people who make the real rules, who get to define "crime." Doesn't matter if they bend a few (and show people they're helpless against the state and its monopoly on violence!) as long as they don't harm the system itself.

How the fuck can I kill 20 hours?

My 13 hour flight just got delayed 7 hours, I’m stuck at my second airport, and I dont think I’m gonna make it. I have some movies and audio books on my phone, but really only anticipated having to burn the flight time via napping and some media, not 7 hours leading up to it, and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna mentally burn...

Puzzle books? I like to play with variety puzzle books, commonly sold near magazines :3 Crosswords (and varieties thereof), word searches (+varieties), crypto puzzles of various sorts, number puzzles of various sorts, the funky neat ones where some of the words share some letters (like, a letter fills a vertical region to be shared by one or more words), uhhh... oh also I like to write the solutions in Thorass :D https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Thorass_alphabet Though the numerals are garbage. D'ni numerals are far, far better 👍

Also, I daydream for hours at a time. ... But probably you don't or else you wouldn't be asking for ideas I guess 😅

    Not likely. They'd been bottled up in hexbear not bothering anybody for a while before they decided to federate. They spend so much time circlejerking it makes sense they wouldn't even notice going back to that.

    I don't see why so many people insist on waiting for very specific harm to be done. Kinda seems like "C'mon everybody, leopards wont eat our faces too!"

    Any thread that mentions them (that they can see, at least) immediately blows up into a pile of vapid garbage. They ruin every thread they appear in and there's no reason to believe they'll be any better here than they've been elsewhere if ever they do decide to federate with us. Also, they do seem to be adding instances so it's not like there's no chance they'll target us too. Or, uh, heroically bestow upon us the boon of their inanity or whatever they think they're doing.

    I'm glad to hear that they don't federate with us but they do seem to be federating with single/few instances over time so there's some chance that will change. I'd feel most comfortable defederating them before they do target us and make it impossible to talk about anything but tankie memes here too.

    Who with any sense could respect this idea? "Oh no, those icky people are all going in there where I don't have to see them! That's somehow worse than the horrible, unbearable nightmare of having to see them in public!" People like that don't want us gone, they just want to torture us for fun. I have a reasonable amount of rule-breaking things to say about anyone like that.

    ... And of course it's not people actually from there. City council voted this in but these garbage want to counter it from the state level, because screwing with more-local governance from above is totes cool when they do it. Then of course they'll attack lower levels to counter anything insufficiently evil at a higher level, whatever it takes to get their way because evil must always get its way in this vile hell-world. (Not meant in any kind of religious sense, or whatever. Just... they're fuckin' evil)

    This shit's exhausting.

    I think that's just an excuse. Where are the bodies of all' those religious-guys who are known for that? That keeps actually happening. I knew a guy in high school who was attacked by one and nobody cared. Others just get shifted around or ignored just the same; they're all doing fine even if they have to move away for a bit. Our bodies get left in the street. We get the hate because we're easy for them to torture, and when we die we're easy for them to laugh at. Then they just find someone else to torture or kill, because we can't leave. They won't let us, because they don't really want us gone. They're just feeding a deep-seated cruelty some of them probably don't even realize they have.

    I tried to find some sources but now I'm kinda sick. Turns out scrolling around looking at articles about people murdered for being like me can be bad for my mental state! Who knew!

    ...Am seriously fed up with people who seem to know very few words and all of them inappropriate. And yes, treating everyone like a male buddy is inappropriate. And yes, "crazy" still clearly has its association with mental illness. While many people obviously think it means literally anything at any time in any context they also still call people that as a way of suggesting a person's got mental problems.

    I expect I'll get trolled for this (as always, 'cause people absolutely cannot stand being asked to change or even consider their own behaviour) but I'm sick of how bad this place is about gendered language and slurs in particular, to the point where I assume somecritter I otherwise respect is gonna misgender me and I'll just immediately delete my account and be done with this place altogether.

    Anyway, that's my lil tiny rant about some of the lack of care I see floating around, which reminds me to point out that it's not the words that cause problems (outside of straight-up slurs, anyway) but rather how they're used. Some seem to think there's some constantly-changing list of banned words but "don't call me that" means "don't call me that," not "you're going to gaol for not having the latest word list."

    Avoiding "bad words" and "hostility" doesn't mean a person is good or nice. Sometimes hostility is justified or at the very least has a point.

    If your question is one that trolls ask all' the time then maybe it's already been answered somewhere you won't have to freshly upset people to get to. Like... Idunno, DuckDuckGo or something?

    If you know you're going to offend people then maybe work on your own ignorance a little instead of just showing up and throwing very answered questions at me ('cause who's it gonna be but some random queer critter(s)?) like it's my job to sit and tutor you. In fact, you could find someone who would do that but no, you're gonna come to some trans hangout or stream or a zone chat in a game I'm playing and I'm gonna see "hay lul if ur a women then y u still lik girl?!?" and tell you to go fuck yourself.

    ...Okay I got a little carried away and maybe your "naive questions" aren't that bad but at the very least I doubt you're gonna get dogpiled much (just don't talk to hexb*ars or the like: they dogpile every single thing they see) for questions that make sense to ask.

    tl;dr: If you're bothering to ask heavily-answered questions, ask a search engine or Wikipedia or something first. We don't have the time nor energy to individually tutor everyone who only cares to ask and impose rather than listen and absorb.

    I like to play with words and create colourful, cutesy terms. Probably my favourite for this purpose is "critter" :3 Everycritter, anycritter, you critters, those critters. ... Of course if that stops being weird I'll have to come up with a new one. Hmm. I suppose I must mandate that only the cutest critters use this particular term >:P

    Also, it's nice to see I'm not totally alone in caring about these things. Though some common themes around here (such as the problematic careless word choice issues referenced above) are quite upsetting I at least manage to say some things like this that typically get me attacked. ... Though maybe it's just because I only say them three-plus layers down a comment tree nocritter's gonna see. 🤷‍♀
